A flowing program shaped by music, nature and community
The I & I Gathering unfolds gently over five days, offering space to explore, rest, learn and connect. Whether you arrive seeking rest, inspiration, movement or connection there is no rush – you’re invited to follow what feels right for you and engage at your own pace.
Rastarolla is a historian, storyteller, and writer dedicated to celebrating Black British heroes — past and present. Known for his distinctive presence and love of storytelling, he brings history to life through engaging, family-friendly narratives that inspire curiosity, pride, and reflection.
Author of Walter Tull Was Never Dull, his work blends education with imagination, offering stories that speak across generations. This book has been described as a children’s story combining the poetic spirit of Benjamin Zephaniah with the warmth and imagination of Julia Donaldson.
Paula Harvey is the founder and Executive Director of Urban Forest Tribe CIC, an inclusive community organisation dedicated to reconnecting people of all ages and abilities with the natural world. Through forest-based learning, outdoor play, and nature connection experiences, her work supports wellbeing, confidence, and a deeper sense of belonging.
Rooted in learner-led and inclusive practice, Paula creates spaces where children, families, and communities can explore, grow, and build meaningful relationships with nature and each other.
Ankhkara Ashè Akasha is a somatic therapist, yoga teacher, play worker, and community space holder rooted in Rastafari consciousness. Through Dub Yoga Dance, she weaves grounded yoga āsana, conscious breath, intuitive movement, and the deep heartbeat of roots and dub music — where movement becomes prayer and the body remembers its natural wisdom.
Guided by principles of livity, oneness, and right relationship with the Earth, her sessions support nervous system regulation, emotional expression, and embodied joy. Creating inclusive, family-friendly spaces where children, elders, and communities move together, Ankhkara invites all bodies to reconnect, release, and dance their prayers into the earth — one breath, one rhythm, one movement.
